Anka Zlateva originates from Bulgaria and was educated at the State Music Academy ”Pancho Vladigerov” i Sofia with piano accordion. Since 1999 she lives in Denmark where she studied button accordion with Geir Draugsvoll and harpsichord with Karen Englund at The Royal Danish Academy of Music. She enjoys an active concert and educational career on both instruments and is deeply committed to the performance of early as well as contemporary music.
Anka Zlateva has won numerous international prizes, toured a.o. Ukraine, Austria, Germany and Italy with different chamber ensembles, and performed as a soloist and with orchestras in Bulgaria as well as Denmark. After a solo performance in Århus, Denmark, the press wrote: “a passionate soloist”, “...a virtuoso at her instrument”.

Anka plays a "William Dowd, Paris 1981" French double harpsichord.
